COURSE MAP

The race starts and finishes at the winery and includes a remarkable and scenic course which includes a scenic loop around the pond, a fantastic tour through the pine tree covered trails, and a few back and forth laps through the vines.  Sound confusing?  Don’t worry!  We’ll have the course very well marked with arrow signs and our announcer actively assists at the turn (see Josh in action below).  This is a 2 lap course cross country style on grass but is relatively flat and is very suitable for runners, walkers, and wine lovers!

Complete 2 laps for the full 5K experience.  Don’t feel like going out twice, wine not?  Inform our timing crew member!

CHARITY PARTNER

The Charity Partner for this event is the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation.

The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation enriches the lives of young cancer patients between 18-24 years old. In most cases, we fulfill their wish of a dream vacation that they can enjoy with their family!

The Story of Nikolas Ritschel:

Nikolas Ritschel was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Synovial Sarcoma, about a month before his 18th birthday and joined heaven a month after his 21st birthday.
Nik realized that many cancer patients in his age group were too old to take advantage of “kids” programs and yet too young to have their own resources.

He wished there was something to provide respite to this age group and give them the encouragement. We then founded the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation.

Thanks to your support, adolescent young adult cancer patients and their families can share lasting memories!

We have helped over 315 young adult cancer patients and their families since our inception in 2012.
